Safety & Anti-Scam Guide

Protect yourself from scammers and fake employees.

Fake TCL Private Chats / Employees

Please be aware that unfortunately there are some scammers within our Telegram group who try to contact you via private message and pretend to be a TCL employee or try to charge you for help.

Core Safety Rules

  • Volunteer Community: This is a free community of volunteer TCL fans.
  • No Direct Contact: We would never charge you for help or contact you directly via private message without speaking with you in the public group first.
  • No Official Employees: There are NO official TCL employees within this group. Anyone pretending to be one in a private chat is a scammer.

How to Handle Scammers

  1. Do Not Pay: Never send money to anyone claiming to provide "official support" or firmware.
  2. Do Not Share Info: Do not provide personal data or remote access to your TV/PC to strangers.
  3. Report & Block: If you are contacted by such a chat, please report it to Telegram and block the person immediately.

Official Support

If you really need official help, contact TCL via the official channels found on their website. For community help, stay within the @tclupdates_discussion group.

Unfortunately, we cannot prevent these scammers from creating new accounts every day. Stay vigilant!
